You. Your story. Your comic.

Terms of
Service

In effect from 30 July 2026

This is the agreement between you and us about using AnimeStory. It covers what you're allowed to do, what we promise, what we don't, and how either side can walk away. We've written it to be read rather than skimmed — the parts that limit what you can claim from us are in sections 14 to 16, and they're marked, not buried.

Before you tap "Agree"

Credits are fuel, not currency

They buy renders inside the app. They aren't money, can't be cashed out, and don't transfer between accounts.

Your panels are yours

Keep them, post them, print them, sell them. We don't take ownership of the artwork the app makes for you.

Only upload a face you're entitled to

Yours, or someone who actually said yes. Never a child, never a stranger, never a celebrity you'd like to impersonate.

Apple runs the till

Every purchase goes through the App Store, so refunds are requested from Apple — we can't reverse a charge we never received.

01

What the app is, and what this page is

AnimeStory is an entertainment app for iPhone, published by the Lunivora team ("we", "us"). You give it a photo, choose a story world and a role, and a generative model draws you into illustrated comic panels. That's the whole product: a toy for making pictures.

By installing or using the app you accept these Terms. They form a binding contract, so if you don't accept them, don't use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled and is part of this agreement by reference.

02

Who may use it

03

Your account

The app creates an anonymous device account on first launch so you can start straight away. That account lives on that device: reinstall the app, wipe the phone, or switch to a new one, and the balance and history can be lost. Linking Sign in with Apple or Google is what makes an account portable, and we strongly suggest doing it before you buy anything.

You're responsible for what happens under your account, including purchases made by anyone you hand your unlocked phone to. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. One person, one account — don't sell, share, or transfer it.

04

Credits: what they are and what they aren't

Generating artwork consumes credits. A credit is a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use a slice of our processing capacity inside the app. It is not money, a stored-value instrument, a security, a token, or property.

05

Buying, refunds, and chargebacks

All purchases run through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple is the merchant of record — it takes the payment, issues the receipt, and applies its own terms and tax treatment. We never see your card details.

Refunds

Because Apple holds the money, refund requests go to Apple, not to us: reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides, at its discretion. Where your local consumer law grants you a statutory right to cancel or refund, that right stands regardless of anything written here — write to us and we'll help you exercise it. Outside those cases, credits already spent on completed renders are not refundable.

Chargebacks

If a payment is reversed through Apple or your bank, we'll remove the corresponding credits from your balance. If that leaves it negative, the account may be suspended until the shortfall is settled. Repeatedly buying credits, consuming them, and then reversing the charge is fraud and we'll close the account.

06

What you upload

You keep ownership of every photo you put into the app. Nothing here transfers it to us.

To actually produce your panels, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, and adapt that image, and to pass it to the model providers who perform the render. The licence exists only to deliver the result you asked for, and it ends when the source image is deleted from processing storage — within 24 hours, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos to train models, ours or anyone else's, and we don't licence them onward for any other purpose.

By uploading, you confirm that:

Uploading someone's face without their agreement is the single fastest way to lose your account, and depending on where you live it may also be illegal.
07

What you get back

As between you and us, the panels and clips the app generates for you are yours. Personal use, social posts, printing, commercial use — go ahead, provided you got there without breaking section 08 and you hold the rights to the photo you started from.

Two honest caveats:

We may display generated artwork back to you inside the app — in History, in your library — which is just the app functioning. We won't use your artwork in marketing without asking you first.

08

House rules

Don't use AnimeStory to create, upload, or distribute anything that:

And don't attack the service itself:

09

What AI artwork is not

The output is invented. The model doesn't know you, doesn't know the world, and isn't trying to be accurate. Expect faces that drift from your own, extra fingers, garbled text, physically impossible scenery, and the occasional result that's simply bad. Story text is fiction, not fact.

Nothing the app produces is advice — not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or otherwise — and no output should be treated as a factual record of any real person or event. A resemblance to a real individual in a scene you didn't intend is a coincidence of the generation process, not a statement about them.

10

Review, enforcement, and appeals

Uploads and generated results pass through automated safety filters, and our team may review material that gets flagged or reported. This is imperfect in both directions: some prohibited content will get through, and some perfectly innocent photos will be blocked for no good reason. Neither outcome is a breach of this agreement.

Where we find a breach we may refuse a render, remove content, restrict features, withhold credits, or suspend or close the account — proportionate to what happened, except for child-safety violations, which end the account immediately.

If you think we got it wrong, email us and say so. We'll have a person look at it again and reply. If the block was our error, we'll restore any credits it cost you.

11

The app will keep changing

We add story worlds, retire them, swap out models, adjust prices, and change how features behave. We may suspend the service for maintenance, or discontinue it entirely with reasonable notice. A style you love today may render differently next month, or disappear.

Save anything you care about to your own photo library. We keep your history as a convenience, not as a guaranteed archive, and we're not liable for artwork that is lost.

If we discontinue the app altogether, we'll give notice in advance and offer a proportionate refund for unused purchased credits where the law requires it.

12

Our side of the intellectual property

The app, its name and logo, the interface, the artwork and story worlds we author, and the prompts and systems behind them belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control — nothing more.

If you send us an idea or a feature request, thank you — and we may use it freely, without compensation or attribution. Don't send us anything you consider confidential.

13

Ending it

You can stop at any time: delete the account in Settings, or just delete the app. Deleting the account removes your artwork and profile as described in the Privacy Policy, and forfeits any remaining credit balance.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your activity presents a security, fraud, or legal risk, or if we're required to. Except for serious breaches — where we may act immediately — we'll give notice and, where it's appropriate, a chance to fix it.

Sections 06 to 09 and 12 to 17 survive termination.

14

No warranties

In plainer words: we don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every attack; we don't promise any particular render will succeed, or that you'll like it; and we don't promise your history will survive forever.

Some countries don't allow these exclusions. Where that's true of yours, the exclusions above apply only as far as your law permits, and your statutory consumer guarantees are unaffected.

15

Limits on what you can claim

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live.

What you cover us for

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from photos you uploaded, how you used or published the artwork, or your breach of these Terms or of the law. We'll tell you promptly about any such claim and won't settle it without consulting you.

16

Governing law, disputes, and Apple's role

Law and forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR, and the courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, this doesn't strip you of the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in, or of your right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Please write to us before filing anything. Most disputes turn out to be a refund or a misunderstanding about credits, and both are faster to fix by email.

Apple

These Terms are between you and us. Apple is not a party and has no obligation to support or maintain the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation to you. We — not Apple — are responsible for product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection or privacy law. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we handle it, not Apple. You confirm you're not located in an embargoed country or on a prohibited-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

17

Housekeeping, changes, and how to reach us

We'll update these Terms as the app develops; the date under the title shows the current version. For material changes we'll notify you in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept them. If you don't, stop using the app and delete your account.

Questions, complaints, refunds, appeals — [email protected], or Settings → Feedback in the app, which reaches the same inbox.
